The community of Sandy Bay may be viewed as one of the largest indigenous communities in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.  It's location is central among the indigenous communities north of the Rabacca River, approx. 1 1/5 hr's drive away from capital Kingstown.  Sandy Bay is also home to the sole Garifuna radio station, Garifuna bakery, Secondary school, and resource centre north of the Rabacca River. ***
